Our Team

At Novea, teamwork is not just an expression; it is our guiding principle. From assignment management to internal organization of the company, every member is involved and shares their voice during every step of the process. Behind each consultant, there is an entire team operating in the background in order to offer our candidates and clients the best possible service and chance at success.

Marie-Eve Altur

President
& Founder

Manager, visionary, business coach, committed partner: it is hard to describe myself professionally in one word. My intellectual curiosity has led me to study many fields of activity: law, human resources, management, organizational leadership and coaching. My career path has taken me to positions in administration, legal, recruitment, entrepreneurship, change management and, more recently, managers and teams coaching. I predicate everything I do on authenticity, transparency, proactivity, emotional intelligence and personal and professional development—both mine and my client’s.

When I’m not assisting my clients in their recruitment, human resources or professional development projects, it’s because I’m out hiking with my family, skiing, camping, painting, drawing, or because I am reading, playing transverse flute or starting renovation projects.

Frédérique Desgagnés

Talent Acquisition
Director

I have been working as a Talent Acquisition Consultant at Novea for over three years and specialize in Marketing and Communications, Accounting and Finance, and Executive and High-Level Management Recruitment. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Bishop’s University before taking a few certificate courses in law at University of Montréal. I would eventually like to complete a Master’s degree in Business Administration in order to solidify my skills even further.

I would say I’m curious, empathetic and positive by nature. It helps me stand out for my attentiveness, authenticity, and ability to understand the needs of the professionals with whom I do business; I make sure to manage their expectations, too. Passionate about recruiting, I help my candidates maximize their potential in order to achieve their professional goals, and I am able to create relationships based on trust and collaboration with my clients. My team regularly emphasizes my positive attitude, zest for life, and great resilience.

Marie Goudreau

Talent Acquisition Consultant

I graduated from UQO in administration management, and I also completed a certificate in communication at UQAM. Based on human resources and industrial relations, my unique academic path is what allowed me to acquire valuable knowledge in the field and developed my interest in recruitment. I then joined the Novea Team in 2022 as a Junior Talent Acquisition Consultant.

My curiosity, my sense of organization and my proactivity motivate me to always learn more and take on new challenges. My ability to listen, the attention I pay to details and my dedication are key elements in the relations I maintain with my clients. Dynamic and authentic, I love everything related to interpersonal relations, hence my real interest in recruitment.

In my spare time, you can find me at the gym, shopping (a little too much), with my friends and family, trying a new restaurant or planning my next trip.

Maude Labelle-Chiasson

CIRC
Talent Acquisition
Director and Partner

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from University of Montréal. After completing a few law certificate courses at the same university, I joined Novea Recruitment in 2016. Six years later, I am now a Talent Acquisition Director and Partner, and I specialize in recruiting professionals in Human Resources and Administration.

Dubbed a go-getter and advocate for change, I find building transparent and authentic relationships simple. My passion for recruitment allows me to understand the reality of the market, support my candidates in their job search, and effectively assist my clients in all their recruitment processes. With my smile, versatility and positive personality, I make it my mission to meet everyone’s expectations while providing quality personalized service. I am often praised for my team spirit, my ability to bond with people, as well as my mentoring skills.

In my spare time, I organize all kinds of events to spend time with my friends and family; I take care of my dog, whom I love; I clean (one of my passions), and I shop online or plan my next adventure.

Rosalie Larochelle

Coordinator, copywriting, editing and translating

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Translation from Université Laval since 2020. I also took multiple professional retraining courses, especially with regard to legal and administrative fields. For about a year, I had the chance to work as a translator before joining the Novea team in September 2022 to provide my expertise for the linguistic needs.

Meticulous and tidy, I handle each and every project with care so nothing is left behind.  My strong interest towards language and grammar allows me to enhance all the texts I work on, and I can adapt my editorial skills to all types and levels of language. I am often known for my unifying nature, my approachability and my contagious laughter. To me, teamwork really is the key to success!

When I’m not hiding behind my screen, I like to go on walks with my dog Kyra, attend to festivals, fly away to a new pack sac destination, drink a latte with my sisters or clean thoroughly my house — ask my boyfriend, it helps me relax. My definition of happiness includes my family and my friends, a nice and cold Chablis (thank me later) and amazing food.

Theodora Navarro

Legal Talent Acquisition
Senior Consultant

I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Political Science in France, and worked for several years as a journalist before joining the recruitment team of a large Canadian law firm. I joined the Novea team in 2021, where I now act as a Legal Talent Acquisition Consultant Senior.

I make a point of creating and nurturing lasting relationships and anticipating the needs of candidates as well as clients. My empathy for others and honesty are key assets in the recruitment process. My experience as a specialist in student recruitment at my previous job also allowed me to understand the dynamics specific to the legal sector and to nurture my interest in the field. My team appreciates my gentleness and professionalism as well as my outgoing personality and smile.

I devote my free time to my family and outdoor life. My real pleasure is finding a new hiking trail to explore or a new place to visit with my family and my dogs. When I’m not walking, I cook—a lot—just to compensate for all the energy expended in discovering Quebec.

Harmony Richard

Director of
Administration and Partner

Born in France, I obtained a diploma in Hotel Management before settling in Montreal. My experiences in the hospitality industry have allowed me to develop a great sense of customer service as well as strong analytical and organizational skills. A few weeks after arriving in Montreal in 2017, I got an administrative role within the Novea team. More than four years later, I am now the Director of Administration and, as such, responsible for the administrative and accounting management of the company.

I’ve been told I’m cheerful, organized, and versatile. I actively support the Novea team in their day-to-day life and ensure that operations are managed efficiently. I am always attentive and involved in my work, keeping one thing in mind: the success of our clients and candidates at Novea Recruitment! My colleagues think of me as the team’s operation mastermind and a nice quiet force, since I am involved in everything.

When I’m not busy with invoices, payroll management, meeting planning, managing projects, or answering questions from my colleagues, I love to discover Quebec. This means planning my next trips, hiking, video calls with my family, and enjoying drinks with my friends.
