Novea Recruitment inc. (hereinafter “Novea”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its candidates and clients and ensuring the confidentiality of personal information entrusted to it in the course of its activities. Our privacy policy describes our standards for the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of your personal information. Our policy also explains how Novea protects your personal information and your right to access it.

Personal information

Personal information is defined as any information about an individual that can identify him, such as career and salary information. Excluded from this definition are name, position, business address, telephone number, or e-mail address.
Personal information must be protected regardless of the nature of its medium and whatever its form: written, graphic, audio, visual, computerized or otherwise.

Objectives of collecting information

Novea must collect information about you in order to provide you with high quality services.
The purposes for which we collect your personal information are determined before or at the time of collection. For example, information is collected when you submit your application, present for an interview, or when the client or candidate requests additional information.

The purposes for which we collect information are usually to communicate with you or find candidates or employers who suit your profile.

In accordance with federal and provincial laws on personal information protection, Novea  is required to obtain your consent to collect, use and disclose your personal information. This personal information may be kept by Novea for an indefinite period of time. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time and you can ask Novea, by email at, to destroy and delete your personal information from their records. Following this request, Novea will destroy any information within a maximum period of 48 hours.

By checking this box, you authorize Novea to collect, use and disclose your personal information, information concerning your professional background, including your curriculum vitae, your cover letter, your references and interview notes, as well as any other information deemed relevant and necessary in the context of a recruitment or placement. However, you should, as much as possible, be notified in advance that your information will be transmitted to a third party (for example, a potential employer) and you will therefore be able to know exactly with whom your information will be shared.

All Novea employees have the right to collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the principles set out in this policy.

Limitation of collection, use, and communication

We limit the collection of your personal information to what is necessary for the purposes explained to you.

We only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected. This means that we cannot use your personal information for any other purpose without your consent, except as provided by law.

We cannot disclose your personal information to anyone without your consent, except as may be required by law.
Your personal information is only accessible to persons authorized to access it and for whom it is necessary in the performance of their duties.
You have the right to know, on request, to whom your information has been communicated. We keep accurate records of who we have disclosed your information to and the circumstances under which your information has been disclosed. In addition, Novea undertakes to tell you, as much as possible, to whom your information will be disclosed, before doing so. Thus, you will be able to know at any time where your file is.


We keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. When we destroy your personal information, we take the necessary steps to maintain its confidentiality and ensure that no unauthorized person can gain access to it during the destruction process.

Request for access to information and rectification

You have the right to know if we hold any personal information about you and to view that information. You also have the right to ask how we have collected your personal information, how we have used it and to whom it may have been disclosed. This information will be provided to you within a reasonable time from the day we receive your written request.

You can verify the accuracy and completeness of your personal information and, if necessary, request that it be corrected. We will respond to any request for rectification within a reasonable time.
