Profile

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience, preferably as a Legal Advisor who has worked for a company with an international reach of activities;
  • Bachelor of Laws, Common Law diploma an asset;
  • Great knowledge in commercial law and in contract negotiation and drafting, experience in government contracts is a great asset;
  • Can work well under pressure, excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good at resolving problems, has a sharpened sense of business, can analyze and organize with ease;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite;
  • Bilingual, has excellent writing skills both in French and English;
  • Dynamic and fast learner.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the negotiation, drafting, and editing of various trade agreements, including non‑disclosure agreements, article of agreements, letters of intent, sheets of conditions, supply agreements, and more;
  • Provide support to the team regarding the in-house legal field for all commercial units, and by handling calls for bids related to commercial development;
  • Prepare “turnkey” type of negotiation and contract guidelines;
  • Provide support to the management team in terms of acquisitions, financing, company restructurings, and to the implementation of policies;
  • Organize and update documentation and files;
  • Obtain and manage licences from Canada and the United States;
  • Manage and update minutes;
  • Create and maintain business relationships with external counselors.
