Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Master’s degree in library science or relevant background in digital or legal publishing. A relevant degree may be accepted;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience, including five (5) in staff management. Experience coming from the legal field or with e-book projects will be considered an asset;
  • Excellent French and fluency in English;
  • Basic programming skills (.NET, HTML, XML, JavaScript, etc.);
  • Interpersonal skills, adaptability and versatility;
  • Ability to manage priorities and collaborate on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the staff from your sector in terms of hiring, mobilization, in-house communication, talent and performance management;
  • Plan, organize and control digital production, subcontracting and logistic activities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase operational costs and deadlines, while maintaining the quality and service level of the product;
  • Participate in the design and implementation of the organization’s action plan in terms of business development and enhancement of the content offering;
  • Plan and optimize budget management for your department’s activities, while respecting quality standards;
  • Keep abreast of the needs of the organization’s members and of business opportunities in order to maintain and increase their satisfaction;
  • Identify the best distribution agreements and partnerships in line with the organization’s goals;
  • Collaborate in negotiating agreements with suppliers and partners to support the production, enhancement and enrichment of information;
  • Optimize in-house and subcontractors’ production procedures;
  • Act as a leader by implementing a culture of continuous improvement and bringing about positive change management.
