Profile

• Bachelor of translation or member in good standing of the OTTIAQ;
• Minimum three (3) years of experience translating from English into French as part of a team of translators working in a structured environment, with a proven knowledge of the financial field;
• Fully bilingual (French and English);
• Command of computer tools (Office Suite), computer-assisted translation, and common reference tools. Knowledge of MemoQ seen as an asset;
• Strong writing skills;
• Intellectual curiosity, good judgment, professionalism and adaptability when managing clients’ requests;
• Strong communication skills and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the translation of all texts related to personal insurance and banking facilities, but also to general insurance and economy;
• Translate texts of many or very few words, while meeting pre-established deadlines;
• Use the translation tool MemoQ as part of your job;
• Deal with translations related to letters of complaint, distribution documents, press releases, etc.;
• Take part in team meetings;
• If need be, contact clients for any questions regarding a translation’s terminology.
