Profile

  • Bachelor of translation;
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in team management either within an office or a translation company for a coordinator or project manager role;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Excellent computer knowledge and master of the Office suite;
  • Knowledge of language technologies (MemoQ, SDL Trados, Flow Fit, etc.), an asset;
  • Punctuality, good sense of responsibilities and organization, and great management of priorities;
  • Proactivity, interpersonal skills, and sharpened concern for details;
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the team has the right resources available;
  • In collaboration with other team leaders, establish the most effective, simple and affordable assignment solutions;
  • Set up project ranking procedures and prepare an action plan;
  • Maximize team’s productivity while insisting on quality standards;
  • Ensure monthly workload follow-ups with every freelancer;
  • Take part in the integration of a new client or in the projects launch of existing clients;
  • Identify the team’s needs and plan training if need be;
  • Participate in team leaders’ meetings;
  • Strategically allow team members’ vacations to ensure a great workflow while they’re gone;
  • Fairly distribute project coordinator workload;
  • Help the human resources manager to set up annual and semiannual evaluations;
  • Present an action plan in case of gaps in project management procedures.
